Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These Terms describe how TaxDesk PK is intended to be used. They restate product responsibilities from engineering and tax-safety requirements. They are pending legal review and may be replaced by firm- or operator-specific terms.

By accessing a TaxDesk PK deployment you agree to use the software only for lawful tax practice operations and to keep credentials and client data confidential.

Acceptance

Use of staff, portal, or administrative features constitutes acceptance of these product terms for that deployment until superseding counsel-approved terms are published.

The service

TaxDesk PK provides firm workspaces for client CRM, document hub, tax-year files, computation, wealth reconciliation, return preparation, exports, billing, portal collaboration, analytics, and administration.

  • Features depend on firm configuration, role permissions, and enabled integrations.
  • Draft or placeholder tax rule packs keep computation and approval fail-closed until published rules are approved.
  • Availability, backups, and recovery objectives are operational responsibilities of the deploying operator.

Tax calculations and professional responsibility

TaxDesk PK is a practice tool. It does not replace a qualified tax professional or official FBR guidance.

  • Computed figures are estimates that require qualified review before reliance or filing.
  • The tax engine is deterministic and versioned; large language models must not produce final tax figures.
  • AI extraction produces draft data until staff confirm; humans approve return preparation and filing actions.
  • The consulting firm and responsible professionals remain legally accountable for compliance and advice delivered to clients.

Accounts and access

Firms control user invitations, roles, sessions, and portal access.

  • Staff must protect passwords and TOTP devices; sessions may be revoked by administrators.
  • Portal OTP flows must not be used to probe whether a contact is registered outside legitimate client access.
  • Sharing credentials or bypassing firm authorization controls is prohibited.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the platform to harm clients, other firms, or system integrity.

  • Do not attempt cross-firm access, disable security controls, or exfiltrate data outside authorized workflows.
  • Do not upload malware or use document processing to evade lawful scanning and validation.
  • Do not use planning or computation features to facilitate tax evasion; product guardrails exist to discourage evasion patterns.

Limitation of reliance

Until counsel publishes deployment-specific liability terms, users acknowledge that TaxDesk PK outputs are decision-support only. Filing decisions, statutory interpretations, and client advice remain the responsibility of the firm and its licensed professionals.

Changes

Product requirements may evolve. Material changes to published Terms should be versioned and communicated by the operator. This page will remain marked pending legal review until counsel signs off.

Contact

Questions about these Terms for a given deployment should go to the firm Owner or the platform operator. Formal legal notices require counsel-approved contact details for that deployment.
